Evan and his mother Lorie began training for triathlons and racing with TBF in the late 90’s. Evan was a three time TBF Chanoko Kids MTB duathlon Champion before becoming an elite triathlete in his teens.

We got to know Evan and his family very well in 2002. The entire Huffman family traveled with TBF to Thailand for an Adventure Vacation. Bill and Mark taught Evan, 12 years old at the time, how to ride a motor scooter and took him on long runs and waterfall hikes.

At 17, Evan began to focus on cycling and quickly moved up the ranks. After training and racing full-time for 4 years, he joined the professional peloton with the Astana World Tour team in 2013. After 2 seasons in Europe, Evan returned to the US and joined the SmartStop team in 2015.

This year, Evan earned the King of the Mountains jersey at the 2016 Amgen Tour of California racing for Rally Cycling. Evan is a native of Elk Grove, and currently lives in El Dorado Hills.
