The Bucket List Triathlon Sacramento

The Sacramento Bucket List Triathlon at Discovery Park in Sacramento is New for 2016 – added to our USAT Sacramento International Triathlon. This fun event offers a Super Sprint Triathlon that everyone can check off their Bucket List!

The 200 yard swim will swim across the American River from the beach at Discovery Park. The 5 mile bike course will be a one-lap course on roads closed to traffic. The 1 mile run course for each race will have aid stations with ice cold water, FLUID Electrolyte and energy gels at the start and turn-around. All Finishers will receive a Sacramento Bucket List Triathlon Finisher Medal.

  • The Sacramento Bucket List Triathlon: 7:30am
  • The Sacramento International Triathlon: 8:00am

Distances:

  • The Sacramento Bucket List Triathlon: 200 yard swim-5 mile bike-1 mile run
  • The USAT Sacramento International Triathlon: 1.5K swim-40K bike-10K run

Swim – A 200 yard swim directly across the river to the opposite bank and exit in the same location as the Sacramento International Triathlon.

Bike – 5 mile, one-loop on closed roads adjacent to Discovery Park.

Run – 1 mile fast out and back courses along the beautiful American River Parkway.

Transition Area

The Transition area will be on a first-come basis, with the exception of Reserved Bike Racks for TRI Clubs. The transition area at all TBF Racing events is for athletes only. All non-athletes must remain outside of the transition area at all times on race day. Bodymarking will be take place at the entrance to the transition area and must be completed before you enter the transition area. Athletes will have their race number marked on their legs and arms and have their age division on their calf. Glass or bottles are not allowed in the transition area.

Aid Stations

Aid stations will be located in the transition area and the turnaround, serving ice cold water, FLUID Electrolyte and energy gel.

Equipment

Expected water temperature for the American River will be 54-58 degrees. Wetsuits are recommended. Swim fins and snorkels are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line. Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc… are not allowed.

All finishers of the Bucket List Triathlon will receive a custom Finisher Medal.
Awards will be top three overall teams in Male, Female and Coed divisions for the Sacramento Bucket List Triathlon.

Refund and transfer policy

TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.

Competitor Goodies

Included for each competitor is a Bucket List Triathlon tech-tee race shirt, Bucket List Tri Bucket, XTERRA swim cap, athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar, RedBull and Emerald Nuts product samples.

Post Race Athlete Food

Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot pasta, salad, fruit, cookies and beverage.

Training and Coaching:

TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-sport Coaching and Personal Training.

Race for FREE program

Our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program offers a chance to get involved with multi-sport events, have fun, and earn a $40 TBF Racing Volunteer voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events this year. Each volunteer shift is 4 hours. We ask volunteers to reserve a volunteer position at any of our events by emailing volunteersi@totalbodyfitness.com as our volunteer positions will fill up quickly.

Discovery Park, Sacramento CA

Discovery Park is located at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers.

If you are a member of a Triathlon Club that has 10 or more athletes racing with TBF Racing we can provide Reserved bike racks in the transition area for your club, have your club set up a tent in the expo/athlete area, and hang your banners at the event. To take advantage of this program, TRI Clubs must send the list of 10 or more pre-registered athletes to Bill@totalbodyfitness.com 7-10 days prior to the race.
