The Double Duathlon

The Double Duathlon race is at beautiful Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA and features three runs and two bikes! Yes a 2 mile run-6.5 mile road bike-2 mile run-6.5 road bike-2 mile run course with scenic trails to run on and a challenging one-lap road bike course on scenic rolling roads.

Included for each athlete is a custom Double Duathlon race shirt, athlete goody bag, hot post race meal and free athlete massage. Awards are for 1st through 3rd place in each age group for the Double Duathlon and 1st overall for Relay Team Divisions of Male, Female, and Coed.

Run – The 2 mile run course is the same for ALL THREE Run legs of the race. The 2-mile run course will start out north on trails and open areas between Granite Beach and Oak Point. There is a turn around on Old County Road; then the course returns to Granite Beach to an aid station located on the rock levee next to the parking lot. After the aid station, runners will follow the rock levee south and make a left turn before Activity Center Road and return to the finish line/transition area. Run Course Map

Bike – The 6.5 mile road bike course will be inside the park and follow roads north to Oak Point, Doton’s Point, Beeks Bight and finish back at Granite Beach,  returning to the transition area after each of the two separate bike legs. Bike Course Map

Relay Teams

Relay Teams consist of one cyclist and one runner. Entry fee includes two race shirts, goody bags and post race meals. Awards will be first overall in Male, Female and Coed divisions for the Double Duathlon.

Transition Area

The Transition area will be on a first-come basis. The transition area at all TBF Racing events is for athletes only. All non-athletes must remain outside of the transition area at all times on race day. Bodymarking will be take place at the entrance to the transition area and must be completed before you enter the transition area. Athletes will have their race number marked on their legs and arms and have their age division on their calf. Glass or bottles are not allowed in the transition area.


Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…are not allowed on the run or bike courses. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line.

Packet Pickup

Race packets will be available race morning from 7 am to 10 am at the race site

For the Double Duathlon there will be 10-year age groups beginning with 19 and under and ending with 70+ for male and female individuals. Awards will be presented three-deep in each 10-year age group, with Overall Special Awards to first Male and Female finisher. For Relay Teams there will be first place for each division: male, female, and coed teams.

Awards will be given to First overall male and female, plus three deep in each ten-year age group for the 5k Run.

Refund and transfer policy

TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.

Competitor Goodies

Included for each competitor is a custom tech-tee Double Duathlon race shirt and athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar, Emerald Nuts, RedBull energy drink, and other product samples.

Post Race Athlete Food

Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies and beverage.

Training and Coaching:

TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-sport Coaching and Personal Training.
