The Lost Trail Half Marathon is a scenic single track trail race along the shoreline of Folsom Lake with many scenic views, and also offers a 5K Trail Run as well. Included with your race entry is a custom tech-tee race shirt, athlete goody bag, post race hot meal, raffle prizes and awards three-deep in each age group – Plus Lost Trail Finisher Medals for both races!
The Lost Trail Half Marathon starts along the shore of Folsom Lake and after a short section on pavement begins climbing the small hills of the shoreline for an out and back course that veers once to a scenic point along the lake and returns up some short but steep hills, with aid stations spread every 2 miles along the course. There is a climb up Mooney Ridge on the way back to the finish line.
First place Overall Male and Female in The Lost Trail Half Marathon will receive Overall Champion Awards. There will be awards three deep in each ten-year age group for The Lost Trail Half Marathon and the 5K Run/Walk. Finishers in the Lost Trail Half Marathon and 5K will receive custom Lost Trail Finisher Medals.
The Lost Trail Half Marathon starts at Granite Beach along the shore of Folsom Lake. The course heads south toward Beals Point past the Activity Center and along a paved section. The first aid station is just past mile one and that’s when the course follows the Pioneer Express Trail between Granite Bay and Beals Point. The course follows the lake and then makes a loop near Dyke 4 and returns past the horse stables and Cavitt Stallman Middle School at the end off the loop. The course will head up to the top of Mooney Ridge on the return to Granite Bay. The course passes Granite Bay and heads north to the upper middle trail which winds its way through beautiful oak and pine forests on its way to Beeks Bight and Doton’s Point. After running around Doton’s Point and crossing Doton’s Bay the course follows the lower middle trail before finishing back at Granite Beach. Half Marathon Map
The Lost Trail 5k starts along the shore of Granite Beach on Folsom Lake. The course heads south for 1k and then heads north to Oak Point before returning to the finish at Granite Beach. 5K Map
Aid stations will be located on the course at miles 1, 2.5, 4, 5.25, 6.25, 7.25, 9, 10.5, 12.5 – each serving cold water, FLUID Electrolyte beverage, and CLIF Shot energy gels and Bloks.
Listening devices: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…ARE allowed in the Lost Trail Half Marathon and 5K. Runners must exercise caution when crossing any roads and must pay attention at all times when running trails.
Packets will be available at the race site from 6:30 am to 8 am on race day.

Refund and transfer policy
TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.
Included for each competitor is a Lost Trail Half Marathon & 5K custom long sleeve tech-tee race shirt, plus custom Finisher Medal and athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar, Emerald Nuts, and other product samples. Each Lost Trail Half Marathon finisher will receive a custom Lost Trail Half Marathon Finisher Medal.
Post Race Athlete Food
Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies and beverage.
Training and Coaching:
TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-sport Coaching and Personal Training.
Race for FREE program
Our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program offers a chance to get involved with multi-sport events, have fun, and earn a $40 TBF Racing Volunteer voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events this year. Each volunteer shift is 4 hours. We ask volunteers to reserve a volunteer position at any of our events by emailing Teri@totalbodyfitness.com as our volunteer positions will fill up quickly.

Granite Bay State Park on Folsom lake is located at the end of Douglas Blvd, 5-6 miles East of I-80. Turn right at the third stop sign after entering the park for the Granite Beach parking lot. There is a $12 vehicle charge for day-use or $125 for an annual pass. Contact phone: 916 988 0205.
