The Happy Kids Duathlon Series has five races in 2025 and is for boys and girls 5 to 14 years of age.
Each race features a 1 mile run - 3 mile road bike - 1 mile run course. This is a great early-season race for young triathletes, cross country runners and cyclists. Included for each competitor is a custom Happy Kids Shoulder/Cinch Bag.

Run #1
The first 1 mile run course will start at Granite Beach and finish at the transition area located at the end of Old County Road. The terrain features crushed granite paths and dirt trails.
Walk to transition
*Please allow an extra 20-30 minutes to be ready to race at 8:30 am.
The transition area is located 1/3 mile from Granite Beach at the end of Old County Road. It will take an extra 20 minutes to walk to transition, set-up your bike gear and return to Granite Main Beach for the start of the race.
Bike course
The 2 mile bike course is course located entirely within the park on roads closed to traffic. The bike course begins at the transition area at Old County Road and makes a loop around Oak Point and returns to the Old County Road transition area.
Run #2
The second 1 mile run will start at the Old County transition area and finish at Granite Beach. The terrain features crushed granite paths and dirt trails.
Aid Stations
Aid stations will be located in the transition area and at mile one on the run course, serving cold water and FLUID Electrolyte beverage.
Equipment
Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…are not allowed on the run or bike courses. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line.
Packet Pickup
Race packets will be available race morning from 6:30 am am to 8:30 am at the race site.

Divisions
For the Happy Kids Duathlon there will be 2-year age groups for boys and girls 5 to 14 years old. These age groups will be: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14. Awards will be presented three-deep in each 2-year age group.
Awards
For the Five-race Happy Kids Duathlon Series, athletes racing in all five events will be eligible for Series Championship Awards. Athletes changing age groups during the Series will finish the Series in their earlier age group.

Competitor Goodies
Included for each competitor is a custom Happy Kids Duathlon race shirt and athlete goody bag with product samples.
Athletes racing in all four Happy Kids Duathlons will receive a Series Finisher Medal.
Post Race Athlete Food
Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies and beverage.
Refund and transfer policy
TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.
