Folsom Swim Run

The 4th Annual Folsom Swim Run is BACK with the Short Course and Long Course for Individuals and Two-Person Teams. Included for each athlete is a pair of TBF socks, a Folsom Swim Run Finishers Hat, Swim Cap, and post-race BBQ.

The official rule for the event is: anything you wear, use, or bring to start the race (both the short course & long course start with a swim), you must have at the end of the race. You are not allowed to drop or pick up gear during the race.

Teams must stay together - but do not need to be tethered or connected - and cannot start a run leg until both members of the team or out of the water and present at the start of the run leg.

Start Times

  • Short Course: 8:00 am
  • Long Course: 9:00 am

Distances

  • Short Course: 4 swims + 3 runs for a total distance of 3.5 miles
  • Long Course: 6 swims + 5 runs for a total distance of 8.3 miles

Both courses will start and finish with a swim. The short course has 4 swims and 3 runs for a total distance of 3.5 miles. The long course has 6 swims and 5 runs for a total distance of 7.8 miles.

There will be four aid stations on the long course at miles 1.25, 2, 4 and 7 with cold water, FLUID electrolyte beverage and Hammer Energy Gel.

Rules

Swim Caps are provided for the swim and Number Belts with numbers are provided for the run and must be worn during the race. Optional equipment used: pull buoys/hand paddles, must be carried to the finish line once used. Teams must finish each swim leg and run leg together. Tethers are not necessary for Teams. Shoes and wetsuits and any other gear worn/used during the race must be carried to the finish line.
