The Mighty Dog Trail Runs are in their 10th year in 2025. The event offers two distances: 5K & 10K - both for walkers, runners, and their dogs! Both races will start from the Granite Beach parking area at Folsom Lake SRA. The 5K course (10K racers do two loops) will have one aid station at the half way point with water for both walkers and their dogs. Back this year is the Mighty Mile, a one-mile dog friendly course for walkers and runners to bring their dear old friend along.
All Mighty Dog athletes will receive a Mighty Dog Finisher Medal and their dogs a Mighty Dog Finisher Bandana at the Finish Line. Additional dogs can be added for $10 per dog. Each additional dog will receive a Finisher Bandana.

- The Mighty Dog 10K Run: 8:00 am
- The Mighty Dog 5K Run: 8:05 am

- Small Dog (up to 25 lbs)
- Medium Dog (26 to 60 lbs)
- Large Dog (61 lbs+)

The Mighty Dog 5K/10K Walk
All athletes and dogs MUST Walk the entire 5K course. The course will have one aid station at the half way point for both walkers and their dogs. All Mighty Dog Walkers and their Dogs will receive a Finisher Medal and Dog tag at the finish line. Additional dogs can be signed up to accompany the walker and dog #1 for a fee of $10 per dog. Each additional dog will receive a Dog tag and Doggie-goody bag. 10K athletes do two laps of the course (each lap is 5K).
The Mighty Dog 5K/10K Run
Athletes and their dogs MUST run safely and without entangling other dogs. The course will have one aid station at the half way point for both walkers and their dogs. All Mighty Dog Runners and their Dogs will receive a Finisher Medal and Dog tag at the finish line. 10K athletes do two laps of the course (each lap is 5K).
Aid Stations
Aid stations will be located on the course at the half way point: mile 1.5 on each course, with the aid stations each serving cold water, FLUID electrolyte beverage, and Hammer energy gels for athletes as well as water for the dogs.
Equipment
Listening devices: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc… are NOT allowed during the Mighty Dog 5K. Runners and walkers must exercise caution when crossing any roads and must pay attention at all times when running or walking on the trails with their dogs.

Refund and transfer policy
TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.
