Walk/Run for Cancer

The Walk/Run for Cancer is in its 8th year helping to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. This fun event takes place at Terrace Plaza in Valley Springs and offers two distances for runners and walkers: a 2 Mile Fun Run and a 5 Mile Walk/Run with awards to the top three runners in each age division..

CancerRunLogo-2016-smNEW this year: Hot post race lunch of soup or chili plus cookies, crackers, fresh fruit and beverage to all runners. Race T-shirts are available for pre-order at $10 each (t- shirts can also be purchased on race day). Participants and spectators alike will be treated to the same great  music and festive atmosphere around the finish line that is a part of all TBF Races!

The 2 Mile Fun Run and the 5 Mile Walk/Run for Cancer will both start at 8 am with a loop course on local streets with friendly volunteers helping to direct you while on the course.

All proceeds from this event benefit the American Cancer Society.

5 Mile Walk/Run for Cancer – Individual $35 $45
5 Mile Walk/Run for Cancer – 18 and Under  $25  $35

Entry fees increase $10 on race day.
T-shirts can be pre-ordered OR purchased on race day.

Awards/Divisions

Age groups for the 5-mile run are: 11-under, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Male & Female. Top finishers in each age group receive custom award, participant ribbon to all finishers. Participant ribbons will be given to all 2-Mile Fun Run finishers.

Refund and transfer policy

TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.
