The TBF MTB 50 Miler

TBF Racing presents the 9th Annual TBF MTB 50 Miler, an Endurance Mountain Bike Race at Granite Bay, Folsom Lake. The course features a fun, challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track and rolling cross-country with no time limit or fun limit.

The TBF MTB 50 Miler will have for Solo Riders 10-year age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+ for male and female riders. There will be one Single Speed division for male and female Solo Riders.

NEW in 2017: Individual 25 Mile – Two Lap divisions for Male and Female riders. Awards to be determined based upon division entries. 

For 2-person teams there will age divisions of Under-80, or Over-80 for male and female teams, with total age determining the division. There will be a Coed Division and Single Speed Division with no age groups.

For 4-person teams there will be age divisions of Under-160, or Over-160 for male and female teams with total age determining the division. There will be a Coed Division, which must have 2 female and 2 male riders, and a Single Speed Division, both with no age groups.

Start Time: 9:00 am

Distances:

  • Solo Rider: 50 miles (4 laps)
  • Solo Rider 25 miles (2 laps)
  • 2- person teams: 25 miles (2 laps) each rider
  • 4- person teams: 12.5 miles (1 lap) each rider
The TBF MTB 50 Miler race course will have a 12.5 mile loop to complete four times on multi-use trails within the Granite Bay State Park on Folsom Lake. The course features a fun, challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track, rolling cross-country with some sand and a bit of pavement. The course is perfect for first-timers and exciting fun for all levels. Please be respectful of other trail users including hikers and equestrian riders in this state park. Feed Zones

Water bottles, FLUID performance electrolyte drink bottles, Clif Shot energy gel, Clif Bars. The feed zone will be located along Granite Beach at the start of laps 2, 3 and 4.

Equipment

Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…are not allowed on the bike course. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times.

Refund and transfer policy

TBF Racing has a no refund policy on all of our events. A refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.

Competitor Goodies

Included for each competitor is a MTB 50 soft-cotton race shirt and a pair of TBF MTB socks along with an athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar, Emerald Nuts, RedBull, and other product samples.

Post Race Athlete Food

Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot pasta, teriyaki chicken, hamburgers, salad, fruit, cookies and beverages with a variety of ice cold beer and ales on tap for adults over 21 years of age.

Training and Coaching:

TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-sport Coaching and Personal Training.

Race for FREE program

Our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program offers a chance to get involved with multi-sport events, have fun, and earn a $40 TBF Racing Volunteer voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events this year. Each volunteer shift is 4 hours. We ask volunteers to reserve a volunteer position at any of our events by emailing Teri@totalbodyfitness.com as our volunteer positions will fill up quickly.
